Video: Anaheim Overturned Big Rig w/ SOT - January 9th, 2017
At approximately 11:57 PM Monday night the California Highway Patrol and Anaheim Fire Department responded to reports of an overturned big rig. Officers arriving on scene found a big rig hauling a load of granite overturned on the Lincoln Avenue on ramp to the northbound I-5 with slabs of granite from the load spilled into the 2/3/4 lanes of northbound lanes prompting a closure of the freeway and Lincoln Avenue on ramp. No injuries were reported and the Anaheim Fire Department was cleared from the scene.
The HOV/1/2 lanes were reopened after approximately 15 minutes however a SigAlert for the however the 3/4 lanes as well as the Lincoln Avenue on ramp was expected to last until 6:00 AM Tuesday morning as CalTrans crews worked to remove the big rig and granite from the roadway.
