Irvine Mobile Home Fire w/ SOT - December 20th, 2016
Over 25 firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority responded to reports of a structure fire at The Meadows mobile home community in the 14800 block of Jeffrey Road, city of Irvine Tuesday morning.
Upon arrival firefighters found a well involved single-family mobile home and van with fire and smoke showing. The OCFA successfully initiated an aggressive fire attack to prevent the fire from spreading to surrounding buildings, however interior efforts to quell the fire were halted when it became apparent the structural integrity of the unit's floor had become compromised. Full knockdown was achieved within 20 minutes.
One firefighter and one civilian suffered minor injuries and were treated on scene, neither was transported to a hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
