Irvine Condo Fire - May 31st, 2017
At 11:33 PM Wednesday night, the Orange County Fire Authority responded to reports of a structure fire at 14 Snowberry in the city of Irvine. Crews arriving on scene found a two-story attached condominium with smoke and fire showing from the garage and began and initiated an aggressive effort to extinguish the blaze. With a combined effort of approximately 20 firefighters the blaze was extinguished within 15 minutes. Minimal extension of the fire to adjoining residences was reported, with a majority of the fire contained to the garage. An unknown number of families were displaced due to the blaze. The fire’s cause is under investigation by OCFA fire investigators. The Irvine Police Department assisted with scene control and attempted to mitigate the fire with a portable extinguisher.
