Irvine Rollover Entrapment - November 3rd, 2016
At approximately 7:30 PM the Irvine Police Department and Orange County Fire Authority (Battalion 5, Engine 8, and Truck 6 with Care Ambulance 6499 as Transport) responded to the northbound Noyes Avenue just north of Ritchey Avenue reference reports of a multi-vehicle traffic collision with one patient trapped inside an overturned vehicle.
Upon arrival, IPD and OCFA located a Grey Toyota Camry on its roof with one patient (the driver) trapped inside and a White Mercedes E350 with side end damage pushed up onto the sidewalk. It appears the Mercedes was parked on northbound Ritchey Avenue at the time of the collision. The trapped male was freed promptly from the overturned Toyota Camry and transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Irvine Police Department at (949) 724-7000.
