Lake Forest Fatality - December 18th, 2016
At approximately 9:50 PM on Sunday night officers from the California Highway Patrol, Orange County Sheriff’s Department, and firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority were dispatched to reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision on the northbound SR-241 just north of Bake Parkway. Reports indicated the vehicle came off the toll road hitting a fire hydrant, pedestrian, tree and other vehicles all the way to the rear of the Regal movie theater. Additional information from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department indicated the driver of the vehicle fled from the scene and that the vehicles was registered to his father, a CHP dispatch log indicated.
Upon arrival officers and medics found three patients and one deceased. All three patients were transported to area hospitals in unknown condition.
