Santa Ana Structure Fire w/ SOT - December 16th, 2016
At approximately 11:20 PM Friday evening the Orange County Fire Authority was dispatched to reports of a residential structure fire in the 2200 block of West Borchard Avenue in the city of Santa Ana. Firefighters arriving on scene found a well involved residential structure with smoke and fire showing. The call was subsequently upgraded to a working structure assignment and over 20 firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority responded. After an aggressive interior and exterior attack the fire was knocked down in approximately 20 minutes.
According to Captain Larry Kurtz, Orange County Fire Authority, the fire and most damage was centered around an add-on structure in the back of the residence. Red Cross was also dispatched to assist with ten displaced residents, including two children.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation at this time, Kurtz said.
