Tustin Fatal Crash - May 23rd, 2017
At 7:32 AM Tuesday evening, the Orange County Fire Authority responded to reports of a traffic collision in the 15000 block of Pasadena Avenue in Tustin. Crews arriving on scene located a collision involving three vehicles. At least one female patient was transported with life-threatening injuries to an area hospital. The Tustin Police Department will be handling the investigation.

FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION INVESTIGATION:
On Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at approximately 7:34 P.M. the Tustin Police Department responded to an injury traffic collision at the intersection of Nisson Rd and Pasadena Ave. The collision involved three vehicles.
The driver of a Kia Spectra was westbound along the 17200 block of Nisson Rd. and collided into a Dodge Ram which was stopped on the roadway, waiting for a parking spot. The initial collision caused the Spectra to spin across the roadway and collide into a Kia Forte which was traveling eastbound on Nisson Rd. The driver of the Kia Spectra was seriously injured and was transported to a local hospital. At the hospital the driver succumbed to her injuries. The other involved parties suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The Tustin Police Department Traffic Unit is currently conducting the investigation into this incident. At this time it does not appear as if alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision. There have been no arrests or citations, and the cause of this collision is still under investigation.
